There are many organizations interested in promoting science education. Heere are a few:

• Technology & Learning magazine has lot of good information about teaching technologies.
• The Coalition on Public Understanding of Science (COPUS) is a grassroots effort whose goal is to engage sectors of the public in science to increase their understanding of the nature of science and its value to society.
• Understanding Science is a new Berkeley website that aims to "accurately communicate what science is and how it really works". The site comes from Ken Miller & the same group that created the excellent Understanding Evolution project. More info here.
• Google Earth Outreach enables any organization to quickly and easily get the resources it needs to create compelling stories through Google Earth layers.
